The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) remains committed to its mission of providing clean, safe, and affordable water to Filipinos in the countryside.

Working with water districts across the country, LWUA continues to develop, expand, and improve water and sanitation services by upholding the highest standards in terms of water quality, personnel service, and technical and financial assistance. This is in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s mandate to LWUA to make potable water within the reach of every Filipino.

The agency also acknowledges like-minded organizations, LGUs and private companies that develop and promote water supply infrastructure in the provinces. LWUA encourages even small water service providers to do the same. All these efforts are aimed at benefitting the general public.

LWUA and the more than 530 water districts understand that access to safe water is a universal right and, as a result, make their rates affordable to the general public. LWUA is presently reviewing various schemes to come up with more socialized tariff rates to help the community’s poorest members.
