Recovered funds

LWUA Administrator Andres F. Ibarra (4th from left) receives a check amounting to P245,649,561.98 from Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp (PDIC) officer Anna Rose Viray, DN-RBM Dept., as part of the settlement claim against the assets of the defunct Express Savings Bank, Inc. (ESBI). To date, LWUA's cash collections and payments in kind from PDIC including the above cited remittance aggregate to P560,984,650.14 which is equivalent to 80% of LWUA's total claims of P700M. Investment recovered

LWUA clarifies alleged "unauthorized" allowances and benefits

tax condonationThe Local Water Utilities Administration, through its Administrator Andres F. Ibarra has clarified recent news reports that LWUA allegedly granted "unauthorized" allowances and benefits to its officers and employees in Y2013 in the aggregate amount of Php436,182,917.30. According to the LWUA Administrator, said amount was erroneously sourced (Read COA correction and apology here) from the Y2013 COA Annual Financial Report.
